Jongimpi Papu is an ordained minister and has served in the Seventh-day Adventist for 38 years in various capacities. He is currently serving as the vice president of the Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division of the General Conference and as an adjunct lecturer at the Adventist University of Africa in Nairobi. He holds a DMin in Leadership from Andrews University and a PhD in missiology from the University of Free State. He is married to Nomthandazo, has spent the last 37 years as a married couple, and has been blessed with two sons, Bulumko and Sihle. He has contributed articles and chapters in several publications. He has run several marathons, including Comrades, and is also an avid cyclist.
